1) Bermuda Shorts - Brand new on the runway this year are bermuda shorts for women. These are shorts that fall just a bit above the knee. They are a more casual style. You can wear a fun floral print bermuda short like the one shown in the picture, or you can chose something more monotone and wear it in a semi formal look. So if you can't do the high waisted shorts, or the short shorts, then Bermuda shorts are worth a try!

2) Shiny and Sheen- This year we see the emergence of shiny fabrics for spring. So go and buy yourself a top in your favorite color of shiny. If you are a DIYer , then you can even makeover an old dress you have in a sheen fabric. Its time to add some flavor to your wardrobe- just make sure its in a shiny material.

3) Graphic Prints- Hor Another thing hot off the runway for 2013 are graphic prints!. So whether you chose a t-shirt, a blouse, a skirt, a dress, or a shirt like the one in the picture to the left, choosing a graphic print can be a fun activity. There are sooo many patterns to chose from- your options will be limitless. You can go for something a bit subdued or if you are on the experimental side of things, then you can even do a more abstract colorful graphic print.

4) Horizontal and vertical Stripes- Stripes have always been introduced as fashion statements by many designers throughout the history of fashion. A horizontal stripe top is a common staple piece of clothing in most women's closets. However this year, the designers are rolling out with these big, bright and bold stripe patterns. So if you dare - go for a statement piece like a vertical/horizontal striped dress or skirt. They are always harder to carry on your bottom half. If you wish to stay safe, then you can always do a some kind of horizontal striped t shirt or top.

5) Floral Prints- Another great addition to your wardrobe this year (if you don't already have it), would be the addition of some great floral print pieces. Not only are they versatile and feminine, but they can be paired with a more sturdier piece like leather to create balance. A floral print maxi dress like the one in the picture to the left is a great piece to work with. Otherwise you can always do a floral pattern top, or a floral print blouse.

6) Vibrant Neon Colors - If you enjoy wearing colors, then you are in for a treat, because neon colors will defo be in the in thing for this upcoming year. You can chose a neon color in any piece of clothing item. Sometimes its best to make the rest of the outfit neutral so as to make the neon piece the highlight. Or, you can chose two bright colors that go together and do a color block theme.
