I think it happens to a lot of us. You see a hairstyle on someone that you really like. However when you go to our stylest, you don't know how to explain it. This is primarily because you don't know what its called. Here is my attempt at trying to provide a sort of picture and name classification of various types of hairstyles. As I started researching, I realized that there is no way that I can possibly put all the different categories in one post. In this first one, I talk about braids and bob cuts. I hope this helps to broaden your understanding so that the next time you go to a hairstylest you can explain exactly what you want.
BOB CUT - This kind of cut is very short, and the hair is straight. It is cut around the neckline. This kind of hairstyle is very easy to maintain owing to the short length of the hair. There are several type of Bob Cuts.

ANGLED/A-LINE BOB
ANGLED/A-LINE BOB- This kind of bob is assymetrical- long in the front and short in the back. It was most popularly worn by Victoria Beckham.
LAYERED BOB
LAYERED BOB- This bob has a more texturized appearance. It is achieved by creating a lot of different small layers that create volume at the crown and thins out as it gets away from the head.
CHINESE BOB
CHINESE BOB- It is cut around the neckline and upwards. It usually worn with heavy front bangs, and has a very thick look in general. Rihana famously wore this style recently, and it became trendy thereafter.
PAGEBOY BOB
PAGEBOY BOB- This style of the bob was inspired by paige boys in England. A page boy is a young male who either carries the ring or the train to the brides dress at weddings. This kind of cut is short and is tucked inwards. It usually hits the face at the ear level. They became popular in the 50s.
BRAIDS were commonly worn over the past in the western world, and are still very popular in many countries such as India. They are most commonly worn by school girls. I do not provide much of a description besides what they are called because then I would be getting into how to do it, which is beyond the scope of what I want to do here.
