Types of Hairstyles - BEEHIVE, MOHAWK, FAUX HAWK, FINGER WAVE, RACHEL CUT

In this section, we continue our journey into the world of womens hairstyles. Since each of these hairstyles do not have their own vairous subtypes, this list will be shorter. This section includes the beehive, fauxhawk, mohawk, and Rachel Cut. If you know of any more types that can be listed here, please let me know!

BEEHIVE
BEEHIVE - Audrey Hepburn
A Beehive is a hairtsyle developed in Chicago in the 1960's. It is another rendition of big hair that was popular during those times. It involves "teasing" the hair to create a beehive structure on top of the head. Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffanys and more recently Amy Whinehouse have popularized this hairstyle.

A Faux Hawk is a fake mohawk- meaning that even though it looks like a mohawk , it is infact a rendition of the original mohawk. The hair in the middle may not be quite so long and the sides may not be so short.

FINGER WAVE
A finger wave is a kind of hairstyle that was developed in the 1920's. Natural looking waves were created in the hair by tightly holding the hair between fingers and then combing in different directions.
