Sonam Kapoor has blossomed into a beautiful and sociable young lady who is an avante garde fashion diva of Bollywood. Not only does she constantly grace the covers of the most noted fashion magazines, she is also seen frequenting numerous events, parties, and inaugurations. Although she has yet to make her mark in acting, her international style is definitely something to talk about. Sonam is unique from all other Bollywood damsels in that her outfits are reminiscent of something that Kate Middleton, Michelle Obama or Jackie Kennedy might wear. Her outfits are bold, clean, structured, but most of all they are laced with the acknowledgment that they are adorned on a lady with much style intellect.
Sonam went to the premiere of "The Artist" during Cannes 2011 wearing a Jean Paul Gartier white gown from his couture Spring 2009 collection. It is geometrical patterned dress with an organic mesh overlay that creates a lot of visual interest. The color white looks very good on Sonam and she uses this to her advantage. She is pairing the dress with Chopard earrings, Salvatore Ferragamo shoes and an Amrapali ring.
Sonam is pictured here in a black and white modern Masaba Gupta sari. She wore this gorgeous saree that has a plunging back (not visible) while attending the Peter Lindbergh exhibition during Cannes 2011. The sari blouse features collars that give it a more of a shirt look. The long sleeves and high neck bring modesty to the outfit, but the mildly visible waistline add a ping of interest.
Sonam Kapoor was recently at the launch of The Pure Concept 2012 which is a luxury home decor and furnishing brand. Sonam is seen wearing a tuxedo inspired black outfit with high waisted pants. The frill on the the neckline of the white top not only creates visual interest, but it also balances out the masculinity of the tux. Once again Sonam has stuck to neutral colors while playing with shape and structure to create a bold yet chic look.
The Hello Magazine Classic Race was a big event held at Mahalaxmi Race Course, and attended by all the prominent people of Mumbai. Sonam Kapoor wore a beautiful orange red sari. The blouse as well as the trim of the drape were adorned with lace, and this creates a beautiful play with texture against the soft of the drape. As usual, everything else is minimalistic and Sonam wears one metallic cuff bracelet, and a bold necklace.
The dress that Sonam is wearing is reminiscent of the 70s era, and designer Anita Dongre has done a fabulous job with picking the print(ikkat) and structure of this dress. The flair and fall of the skirt is perfect and the mid calf length creates a very comfortable feel. The plunging neckline, the ribbon cinch at the waist, the lacey detail on the arms, and the two white over sized buttons all give the dress a very classic look.
Sonam paired the dress with Christian Loboutin peep toes. As always Sonam chooses statement pieces for her jewelery. However, she chose small, delicate pieces rather than big bold ones this time around. A job well done !

Once again Sonam chooses a piece that is smart, sophisticated and feminine. She is consistent in her color pallet by being monochromatic yet again. However this time we see her in a beautiful lemon yellow shift dress by Victoria Beckham. Sonam knows the importance of structure and this dress fits her perfectly giving a very hedged out clean look. She wears nude peeptoes and keeps jewelery to a minimum.
Sonam is seen here at the launch of LIV club in Mumbai. The fashion diva is wearing a chiffon pleated deep pink one shoulder gown. Here Sonam departs from her usual structured outfits and opts one with a romantic flowy feel for the night. The neck piece is by Eina Ahluwalia and its called kirpan necklace. Once again, Sonam wears the same color from head to toe. Accessories are simple and hair is in loose curls.
