Crochet was previously popular in the 70's, and is on the comeback yet again. Crochet is also something you can knit yourself at home allowing you to experiment with a diversity of crochet patterns. If you don't think you can do all over crochet- you can always chose to introduce something in your outfit where you are still experimenting with the crochet trend, but you are still within your comfort zone.

A lot of people feel that this can easily be incorporated into an outfit and does not run the risk of looking as if you are trying too hard to be stylish. Whether you chose to do a crochet vest in a neutral like a black/creme/white, or you want to opt for a colorful one, its all about what you pair it with.

A lose fitting t-shirt or blouse will work great as will a skirt or some jeans. You don't want to wear something too tight as it might tend to look like you are falling out of your clothes as opposed to fitting into them.

For 2012, we recommend a type of crochet that is glazed with a shiny material so it looks a bit more modern and edgier if you will. Once again , its all about how you pair your pieces. If you want to make it more interesting- opt for a colored crochet top in a bright or pastel shade.

CROCHET DRESS/SKIRT- This trend is for those of us whose bodies allow for far more experimentation when it comes to body size. The key is again fit and length.

You have to find a comfortable medium. If you can get it to look like, so that you are not falling out, and not too loose that it looks shabby- then you are on the right track. Ideally a crochet dress can be slightly above the knee and fit nicely. Or you can pair yours with tights.
